This site is only about the first of the matrix movies, and any information about this movie is taken from memory, I'm
not watching it at the moment I'm writing about it. So there might be a few differences in how I say things happen and what
actually was shown.

Some of the aspects of The Matrix are rather similar to the novel "Neuromancer" by William Gibson, in fact the Wachowski
Brothers stated that there were a great deal of inspirations for the matrix movies. The Matrix, like a large portion of its
inspirations, falls under the sub genre "cyber punk" among others. Though some of the present themes in the trilogy might
almost be "steam punk" particularly the scenes inside Zion in the later movies.
